From Dancer to Pain Management Specialist:

My journey with movement began in the dynamic world of contemporary dance during the 90s and early 2000s. Through rigorous training at college and Laban Dance School, I delved deep into  Pilates, Laban Movement Analysis and Bartenieff Fundamentals. These disciplines instilled in me a profound understanding of human movement – its initiation, integration, and how it creates harmony. It was also during this time that I explored the intricate biomechanics of the human body.

A Turning Point and a New Passion:

My life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with arthritis and a heart condition. This experience forced me to re-evaluate my relationship with my body. Facing pain and limited mobility became a powerful teacher, leading me to develop a unique training approach. Through focused Pilates practice, I regained control, improved mobility, and managed my symptoms effectively. This personal triumph ignited a passion within me – to empower others to do the same.

Helping You Reclaim Your Body:

As a certified Exercise Referral Specialist, I'm equipped to support clients living with long-term conditions. My own journey informs my teaching style. I understand that everyone comes with their unique experiences and challenges. This, combined with my expertise, allows me to specialise in helping individuals manage:

  • Arthritis (osteoarthritis)

  • Frozen shoulder

  • Hip replacements

  • Knee and foot pain

  • Injuries

  • Personal movement goals

  • Prerequisites for athletic performance

FRC is a system of joint health and mobility training based on scientific principles and research. Focusing on human movement optimisation working on mobility development, articular strength, and neurological control. 

The system has a healthy and honest view of the evolutionary perspective of health, asking and answering what the homo sapiens were naturally selected to do. And in the modern, technologically advanced world we live in today, we are straying further away from our hunter-and-gatherer biology. We have developed a movement deficit and we are not moving as much as dictated by our DNA, nor as much as we are required to maintain musculoskeletal health. This system brings us back to being ‘more human’
